On-Site Test Engineer (Lifting Equipment)

£ 24,000 - £ 26,000 (dependant on experience) + Overtime + Bonus Incentive Scheme + Van

We are an established lifting equipment company located in the heart of the Midlands looking to continue with our expansion of our site services division. An On-Site Test Engineer is now required to join our site- services team.

We require an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who ideally has a sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical lifting equipment and has good communication skills to liaise with customers on-site. The role of On-Site Test Engineer offers a great deal of diversity working for a continually expanding established business.

As a company who invests in their employees, this is an opportunity to join a company who will train you both in house and externally before you then go out and take a more autonomous role at customer sites.

This role will involve the On-Site inspection LOLER & PUWER, proof load testing, service and on site minor repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and powered equipment utilising a fully equipped inspection vehicle.

You will be travelling throughout the UK and have a full UK driving license.

This role will require you to stay away from home as and when required but quite a lot of time will be spent on day visits or working at our premises in Bromsgrove.

An excellent remuneration package is on offer, depending on experience, for a suitably capable and ambitious individual who is looking to progress in an expanding company.

Regional Rail Account Manager (Field Sales)

Based in Bromsgrove, we are an established supplier of lifting and jacking equipment to many industry sectors throughout the UK.

Our Rail Division is looking for a Rail Account Manager to join our small team providing repair, sales and service of specialist small equipment and tools to the UK rail industry. Your role would be to promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers which would involve travelling to appointments on a daily basis.

Your territory would be all areas north of Birmingham with the ability to expand the customer base and ultimately increase turnover and profitability in these areas is a must. You would predominately be promoting our products and services to Network Rail, large rail contractors, rail equipment hire companies and rail vehicle manufacturers and maintainers.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct sales visits to current customers and prospects.
  • Planning and scheduling appointments to ensure efficient sales coverage throughout the sales region.
  • Proactive pursuit of new accounts and general sales.
  • Produce and follow up sales quotations
  • Produce weekly sales reports
  • Participate in trade shows and business events

Skills and experience required

  • Previous experience in a regional field sales role (not necessarily within the rail supply industry?
  • Knowledge of engineered products, lifting or plant hire equipment
  • Self motivated and energetic approach towards sales and "getting the order”
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Have technical acumen
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook
