Hydraulic torque wrenches

Make sure all couplers and hoses are fully connected and that oil can flow freely from (P to P) and (T to T). Incorrectly mounted couplers can still be closed, with the result that oil on the wrenches’ retract side (T or R) can be pressurized by the pumps’ advance side (P or V). The safety relief valve on the retract side(T or R) of the wrench will open and prevent overpressurization. This valve is factory set at 200 – 300 bar [2,900 – 4,350 psi].

BLEEDING AIR FROM THE SYSTEM:

During first-time operation, the hydraulic hoses and wrench can be full of air. Air must be removed from the system for safe and proper operation. Remove the air by connecting the THC-700 hose set to the valve on the hydraulic pump. Connect the couplers on the other end of the hose together completing the hydraulic circuit. Cycle the pump and valve several times by using the remote control pendant. This will force any air into the reservoir and out to the atmosphere. Next, connect the torque wrench to the hose set. As before, cycle the pump and valve several times by using the remote control pendant. This will force any air into the reservoir and out to the atmosphere.
