Enerpac – a rich history in hydraulics
Worlifts is proud to offer and support Enerpac equipment, but did you realise that Enerpac has a rich history, going back to the Model T Ford?
It’s now a market leader in the supply of high pressure hydraulic tools, however, way back in 1910, it produced water pumps for Ford’s Model T. Enerpac are therefore one of the companies that helped drive one of the most important developments in the industrial era – affordable motoring.
Then named the “Hydraulic Tool Co.”, it produced its first hydraulic jacks in the 1920s and then in the 1950s went on to create an industrial products division.
It was also at this time that it re-branded to “Enerpac”
Since then, it has continued to produce hydraulic tools, controlled force products and solutions for precise positioning of heavy loads which find applications is thousands of industries worldwide.
Manufacturing Facilities
The company now has a worldwide presence, with facilities in the USA, The Netherlands, Span, the UK, India and China.
With over 1000 employees and an adherence to many industry standards, they have solutions that meet and exceed the requirements of even the most challenging jobs.
For example, the Millau Viaduct in the South of France required specialist hydraulic equipment to move the bridge sections into place.
Enerpac designed and built the launching devices and cylinders that were used to accurately position these six-lane sections, each weighing many hundreds of tons.
