Worlifts – 40 Years of Excellence!
The company began as a manufacturer of hydraulic jacking equipment, but competition arrived with the increase in imported products, and so the company saw an opportunity to move into the distribution of products instead.
A lot has changed since then, and Worlifts has grown to become a leader in the supply, maintenance and support of hydraulic and lifting equipment, rail handling equipment and bolting.
Here's a potted history:
1997 Worlifts were appointed as an authorised Distributor for Enerpac hydraulic equipment, a global market leader in high pressure hydraulics and are now one of Enerpac’s leading UK distributors and authorised service centres.
2003 saw the launch of the first mobile inspection vehicle which was to be utilised to inspect, repair test and certify customer’s equipment on site in accordance with LOLER & PUWER regulations.
2007 Worlifts were appointed as the sole UK authorised distributor for Hegenscheidt-MFD Re- Railing equipment and formed a new division called Wor-Rail (later to be changed to Worlifts Rail), which is dedicated to serving the railway maintenance infrastructure. In the same year the company designed and developed a dedicated inspection trailer for on-site inspection of small plant and equipment used in the rail industry.
2010 After manufacturing a number of testing machines for use on our own dedicated on site vehicles and in house, it became obvious that we had produced a very marketable product and we started the manufacture of various test machines selling them to the UK market under the Worlifts brand name of Samson.
2012 Worlifts were appointed as a specialised Enerpac Bolting Distributor to compliment the Enerpac industrial tool distributorship, with Enerpac supplying a dedicated on site calibration vehicle and along with training in Holland to Worlifts staff to calibrate powered torque equipment.
2013 Our site services team moved into their own premises close by and now operates five dedicated fully equipped on-site inspection vehicles, a number of support vehicles and a dedicated trailer for the rail industry.
2014 saw the launch of Worlifts Bolting Division focusing on the sale repair and calibration of hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and manual torque equipment. In this year Worlifts were appointed as main Norbar torque tool distributors and an authorised repair centre.
2016 saw the launch of another new division Worlifts HydraHire specialising in the hire of Hydraulic cylinders, pumps, jacking and associated equipment as well as hydraulic/ pneumatic and electric torque tools.
The Future...
Worlifts continues to lead the way in the sales, support and maintenance of hydraulics, lifting and handling equipment and LOLER & PUWER examinations.
Our rail division is your one stop shop for small plant, tools and jacking equipment and our inspection, test and repair facilities are ready to help either in-house at our state of the art repair centre or on-site.
And our unique fleet of on-site calibration and testing vehicles are ready to come to your premises to carry out a full range of services on manual, pneumatic and hydraulic torque wrenches.
